Excellent hotel on Austrian pass between Dienten and Muhlbach. Excellent accommodation, good food and drink, very friendly staff. Owner has classic cars. Not cheap but the setting is stunning.
Excellent place to visit if you're looking for something to do with WW1. Pretty town on a river. Plenty of restaurants and bars !

One Star accommodation within easy walking of the Town Centre. Underground (down a steep slope) private garage with locked doors from main street. Accommodation is basic but clean and very cheap. No restaurant but walking distance of several. Breakfast is typically French. Great value for money.

'Silent Biker' – Campsite. Motorcycle camping site in the Harz Mountains.
Found by the Fat Bastards in 2005, reportedly very good.
Malbork Castle – Fantastic castle rebuilt after WWII well worth a visit but give yourself plenty of time.

Excellent food and drink. Looks like a burger bar from the outside but very good and popular with the locals. Four of us had a three course meal with beers for £26 in 2005

Approx. 20 miles from the Lithuanian/Polish Border. Excellent accommodation and food and drink. Owners speak very good English and are very accommodating. Accommodation is in chalets or in rooms in the house. Food is local and plentiful. Very cheap.
